Matt Black resides in the beautiful Huon Valley, Tasmania with his wife Kirsty and his three daughters Ettie, Maevie and Quinn.

He started Matt Black Furniture in 2020, creating high-end custom furniture for clients. Matt specialises in utilising native hardwoods and salvaged timber to craft custom furniture.

Over the years Matt has shared his creations on his social media with great results. He has amassed a considerable following and is know well know in the woodworking world, so much so in 2023 he was asked to participate in the woodworker games at ‘Wood Dust’ (Australia’s largest woodworking event).
